The Jaguar E-Type XKE is arguably one of the most stunning and uniquely designed automobiles ever created. In the nearly 40 years since it was first debuted, it has retained its appeal and its value has steadily increased with good reason.

Jaguar XKE Soft Top Options

Choose a new soft top made from either British Everflex Vinyl or Haartz Stayfast Cloth. Everflex is a supple vinyl with a rich appearance and although similar to modern vinyls, Everflex is more durable. Haartz Stayfast is a three-ply composite canvas / cloth material made of an acrylic square weave outer fabric, a rubber inner layer, and a cotton lining. It is UV treated and has excellent resistance to fading from exposure to the sun.

All Jaguar convertible tops include a new sewn-in, non-zippered plastic window. The deck seams on the convertible tops are heat-sealed for added durability. The tops are stitched with matching colors using the finest polyester threads.

Originally debuted in 1961, the Jaguar E-Type XKE was an extremely successful series, with more than 70,000 E-Types sold over the life of this very special Jaguar series. The first series of this classic spanned the years 1961-1967. Then, in 1968, Jaguar released its second series of the E-Type XKE and it continued in production through 1971.
