3 of 5 Headliner - substandard fit April 11, 2022
Reviewer: Len Ells from Windsor, NS Canada
Installation of the headliner should have been very straight forward…..but it wasn’t.  The bows on my 2000 Z3 are the same size but the headliner tubes that clamp over the bows are different sizes; the one in the front having a smaller circumference. There was no way it would fit so I was forced to remove it and to use the one from the old top. Top fits well between the front and the second bow but there 1” of excess material between the 2 bow and the 3rd bow (just above the back window). The other issue is that the side tabs that should connect to the frame are not long enough; stretching them to connect where they should looks awful.
Will connect with company for solutions….headliner simply was not made for my 2000 Z3….close, but close just doesn’t work.

5 of 5 Perfect Replacement of OEM Headliner! November 11, 2020
Reviewer: Mike D from Bucks County, PA United States
I finished installing the headliner and it was a perfect fit and looks great!

Install Notes, the headliner does not have holes in the fabric or the plastic flaps for mounting. However, once the liner is aligned you can simply make the holes with a awl. Additionally, the side flaps the mount to the side pillar is not reinforced like the OEM top. My recommendation  is to cut and reuse the plastic reinforcement from the OEM headliner. Overall, you will not be disappointed...No more faded sagging Headliner!

4 of 5 Take Photos and Notes of Original Headliner May 2, 2020
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Sylvan Beach, NY United States
The headliner is really very nice. As a DIY I kick myself for not taking several pictures of the original headliner and how it was installed. My install was in conjunction with a new convertible top. The convertible top was made of the same fabric as the original but was missing several features the original to had. E.g. plastic reinforcements  and a vent on each side. Regardless the top fit. The headliner has two plastic tubes that snap over the top’s bow 2 and bow 3. I sprayed a powdered Teflon lubricant and got them to snap in place. In closing pay close attention to how things go together. Carefully remove original fasteners as BMW charges a lot for replacement parts. It all looks great when done but on the whole a very difficult DIY job.
